Ingredients
- absintheVieux Pontarlier – to rinse (Vieux Pontarlier – to rinse)
- 1½ ozrye whiskeyRittenhouse 100 (Rittenhouse 100)
- ½ ozcognacPierre Ferrand 1840 (Pierre Ferrand 1840)
- 1 tspdemerara syrup2:1 (2:1)
- 4 dashesPeychaud’s bitters
- 1 dasharomatic bittersAngostura (Angostura)
Garnish: expressed lemon twist
Preparation
- 1.
Rinse a rocks glass with absinthe and dump.
- 2.
Stir the remaining ingredients over ice, then strain into the glass.
- 3.
Squeeze a lemon twist over the drink and discard.
