Ingredients

2 ozbrandy
0.25 ozorange curaçao
1 tspmaraschino liqueur
0.5 ozfresh lemon juice
0.5 ozsimple syrup
1 dashangostura bitters

Garnish: lemon twist

Preparation

1.
Rim a coupe glass with sugar and set aside.
2.
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until well chilled.
3.
Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Originally invented in New Orleans in the 1850s by Joseph Santini, an Italian bartender.
