Ingredients
- ¾ ozbourbon
- ¼ ozvermouth rosso
- 1 oz
- 1½ ozcoffeefreshly brewed (freshly brewed)
- 1½ ozwhipping cream
Garnish: grated nutmeg
Preparation
- 1.
Add all ingredients except the whipping cream to the glass and stir gently to combine.
- 2.
Add the whipping cream and an ice cube to a shaker and shake very hard.
- 3.
Strain over the cocktail, then grate the nutmeg on top (see notes).
Notes
A note on the garnish
Zapote Bar (in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where this drink is from) doesn't use straight nutmeg, but adds a bit of pinole (4:1 nutmeg:pinole). Pinole is a mixture of corn flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
