Ingredients
- 1¾ ozcitrus vodkasee notes (see notes)
- 1 ozcranberry cordialsee notes (see notes)
- ½ ozdry curaçaoPierre Ferrand (Pierre Ferrand)
- ½ ozlime juice
Garnish: flamed orange peel
Preparation
- 1.
Shake all the ingredients with ice until chilled.
- 2.
Strain into a chilled coupe.
- 3.
Carefully flame an orange peel over the drink and use as garnish.
Notes
Citrus vodka
The original recipe calls for North Shore Sol but that vodka appears to be discontinued or rebranded to North Shore Twisted Citrus.
Cranberry cordial
In a saucepan, combine 2 cups frozen cranberries, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup lime juice, 1 cup water, 5 cinnamon sticks, 5 star anise, 10 cardamom pods, 3 whole cloves, 1 tbsp salt, and the zest of 3 oranges. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, then cool to room temperature. Fine strain and bottle. Keeps refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
