Ingredients

  • 2 oz
    rye whiskey
  • ¾ oz
    maraschino liqueurLuxardo
  • ½ oz
    lemon juice
Garnish: 2 brandied cherries, mint sprig

Preparation

  1. 1.

    Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until well chilled.

  2. 2.

    Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe.

  3. 3.

    Garnish with 2 brandied cherries and a mint sprig speared on a pick.

This is a variation on the classic Aviation.
