Ingredients
- 1½ ozreposado tequila
- ¾ ozvanilla-plantain syrupsee notes (see notes)
- ¼ ozbanana liqueur
- ¼ ozcoffee liqueur
- 1 ozcold-brew coffee
Garnish: plantain slice, black lava salt
Preparation
- 1.
Add all of the ingredients to an ice-filled shaker.
- 2.
Shake for 10 seconds and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- 3.
To garnish, spear a plantain slice with a cocktail pick and place on the drink, then sprinkle with black lava salt.
Notes
Vanilla-plantain syrup
Combine 3 cups of sliced ripe plantains and 2 cups of sugar in a container and let sit overnight. Add 2 cups of water and mix until the sugar is fully dissolved. Strain out the solids and add 4 drops of vanilla extract to the syrup. Keeps refrigerated for 2 weeks.
