Ingredients

  • 30 oz
    Spanish-style rumgold (gold)
  • 15 oz
    spiced coconut milksee notes (see notes)
  • 15 oz
    cream of coconut
  • 15 oz
    sweetened condensed milk
Garnish: grated cinnamon

Preparation

    Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until well-mixed and frothy.

    Seal in an airtight container and refrigerate until well-chilled.

Notes

About the drink Coquito, which means "little coconut," is a holiday staple in Puerto Rico. It's typically drunk after dinner in a small, short glass. This recipe makes 15-20 servings. Spiced coconut milk In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 can (15 oz) coconut milk with 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 whole cloves, 2 star anise, and 3 allspice berries. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain through a mesh strainer and let cool before using.
