Ingredients

  • 1
    maraschino cherry
  • 1 tbsp
    maple syrup
  • 2 oz
    bourbonMaker’s Mark 46
  • 1 oz
    Bordeaux red winesuch as Chateau Brethous
  • 1 oz
    lemon juice
  • 5 dashes
    orange bitters
Garnish: maraschino cherry

Preparation

  1. 1.

    In a shaker, muddle the cherry and maple syrup.

  2. 2.

    Add the bourbon, red wine, lemon juice, and orange bitters with ice and shake until well chilled.

  3. 3.

    Double-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

  4. 4.

    Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
