Ingredients

  • ½ oz
    fino sherryor manzanilla
  • 1½ oz
    sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes
    orange bitters

Preparation

  1. 1.

    Stir ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.

  2. 2.

    Strain into a chilled glass.

  3. 3.

    Express an orange peel over the top of the drink, then discard.

Notes

The Adonis cocktail dates back to the mid-1880s and was named in honor of the first Broadway musical to run for more than 500 performances.
