Spiced almond demerara syrup
Ingredients
- ¾ cupdemerara sugar
- 2 tbspdemerara sugar
- 7 tbspwater
- 1½ tbspalmondssliced(sliced)
- 1 tspcinnamon stick
- 1 pinchclovesground(ground)
Instructions
- 1.
Combine the demerara sugar and water in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- 2.
Add the almonds, cinnamon bark, and cloves.
- 3.
Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- 5.
Strain out solids and refrigerate.
