Fall spice syrup

Ingredients
- 2 tspcardamom
- 5star anise(whole)
- 1 tspnutmeg
- 5ginger root(stems, diced)
- 3cinnamon sticks
- 3whole cloves
- 1orange twist
- 2 cupsfine white sugar
- 2 cupswater
Instructions
- 1.
Toast the cardamom in a saucepan on medium heat.
- 2.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 3.
Let cool for 30 minutes, then strain into a jar with a fine-mesh sieve.
Notes
Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
