Name: Velvet Revolver
Ingredients: 0.25 oz Classic Gum Syrup; 2 oz cognac; 0.75 oz pinot noir; 0.5 oz strawberry preserves; 0.5 oz lemon juice; 2 dashes aromatic bitters (optional)

2 ozcognac
0.75 ozpinot noir
0.5 ozstrawberry preserves
0.5 ozlemon juice
2 dashesaromatic bitters (optional)

Garnish: mint

Preparation

1.
Stir strawberry preserves and cognac in base of shaker until preserve is dissolved

Add all other ingredients to a shaker with ice
3.
Shake hard for 15 seconds and fine strain into a cocktail glass

Notes

This is a wonderful cocktail that blends summer and fall perfectly. Developed by Robb Collins at London Cocktail Club in 2017, the cocktail first appeared in the book Cocktails in The City. The sweet strawberry is the perfect compliment to the cognac, and the red wine adds a wonderful richness. This one is definitely worth a try.
