Ingredients: 3 piece brandied cherries; 1 piece white sugar cube; 2 oz siete leguas blanco tequila; 0.5 oz Cynar; 1 dash bittermens xocolatl mole bitters

Ingredients

3 piecebrandied cherries
1 piecewhite sugar cube
2 ozsiete leguas blanco tequila
0.5 ozCynar
1 dashbittermens xocolatl mole bitters

Garnish: 1 orange wheel

Preparation

1.
In a shaker, muddle the cherries and sugar cube.
2.
Add the remaining ingredients and dry shake.
3.
Dump into a double rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
4.
Garnish with the orange wheel.

Notes

Created by Phil Ward, 2008. The combination of cherries and Cynar was an exciting revelation. The muddled cherries look scattered on top of the crushed ice—referred to as 'serving it messy.'
