Combine all the ingredients except the ginger beer in a shaker, add ice and shake to chill. Add ginger beer, then strain over fresh ice. Garnish.
Strawberry Syrup: Slice ½ cup of ripe strawberries thinly and combine them with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and let sit for 2 hours for a slow infusion. Add ½ a teaspoon of citric acid and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
