Combine all of the ingredients except for the spiced wine syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake until the shaker is cold and frosty, about 10-15 seconds. Strain into a large rocks glass with fresh ice. Add the spiced wine syrup by sinking it to the bottom of the glass. Spiced Wine SyrupCombine 1 1/2 cups of red wine, 3/4 cups of brown sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 1 1/2 tsp. of whole cloves in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-10 minutes or until the alcohol smell is gone—to reduce and cook off the alcohol. Let the mixture cool before use or storing. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keep for about 2 weeks.
