Ingredients

2 piecegrapefruit twists
2 oztanqueray no. ten gin
0.5 ozgalliano l'autentico
1 tspsimple syrup
1 dashangostura bitters

Preparation

1.
Squeeze the grapefruit twists over the mixing glass, then drop them in.
2.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir over ice.
3.
Strain into a coupe.
4.
No garnish.

Created by Thomas Waugh, 2009. A riff on the Alaska cocktail from The Savoy Cocktail Book. Galliano is subbed for yellow Chartreuse — similar but with more pronounced vanilla and anise flavors.
