0.5 ozRaspberry Gum Syrup
2 ozrye whiskey
0.5 ozfalernum
1 ozlime juice

Garnish: lime wheel and raspberry

Preparation

1.
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake hard for 10 seconds
2.
Strain into a chilled highball filled with crushed ice

Notes

A very simple and delicious rye cocktail with tiki overtones. Subtle spice from a good quality barrel-aged rye and the falernum is a freshened up with sweet-tart Raspberry Gum Syrup. From Joe Robinson at Standby in Detroit.
