Ingredients: 1.0 oz aged rum; 1.0 oz white rum; 0.75 oz Raspberry Gum Syrup; 0.75 oz lime juice; barspoon Demerara Gum Syrup

Ingredients

1 ozaged rum
1 ozwhite rum
0.75 ozRaspberry Gum Syrup
0.75 ozlime juice
barspoonDemerara Gum Syrup

Garnish: lime wheel and brandied cherry

Preparation

1.
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
2.
Shake until chilled, about 10 seconds.
3.
Strain into a chilled glass.

Notes

We were inspired by a cocktail from the minds at Smuggler's Cove, which in turn was inspired by a 2009 discovery that the center of our galaxy contains a chemical compound that smells like rum and tastes like raspberries.
